About the Hotel

When the Churchill Hotel opened in 1906, it boasted “every convenience of a high-grade, full-service, modern hotel, in conjunction with the restful quietude and exclusiveness of a private residence.”

Recently renovated and completely restored, the Churchill Hotel’s stylish architecture and elegant interiors have earned the hotel membership in Historic Hotels of America, an exclusive group within the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

We have also recently gone through the process to become a TAG Approved hotel.

Situated on Washington, DC’s Connecticut Avenue (near the Dupont Circle and Adams Morgan neighborhoods) the Churchill Hotel has been home to a long list of diplomats, dignitaries, politicians, business travelers, and prominent families for more than a century. But its historic legacy isn’t the only reason The Churchill stands out from literally hundreds of other hotels in Washington, DC.

Over the years, the Churchill Hotel has always preserved the ambiance of a luxury early 20th century apartment on one of Washington’s most exclusive addresses: Connecticut Avenue.
