Ireland 100, The Kennedy Center's celebration of Irish arts and culture, welcomes its artist-in-residence, award-winning actress Fiona Shaw, to the Eisenhower Theater. She will lead a conversation about William Shakespeare, whose work and legacy, even 400 years after his death, remain as relevant as ever. A native of County Cork, Shaw is probably best known on this side of the pond for her role in the Harry Potter movie series as Harry's aunt Petunia Dursley, and for the HBO show True Blood. But she's also a much-acclaimed stage actress who played Kate in Royal Shakespeare Company's production of The Taming of the Shrew, appeared on Broadway in The Testament of Mary and won a Tony nomination for the title role in Medea.
