Dive deep as we explore the history of mythical sea monsters and discover the strange world of hydrothermal vents with author Chet Van Duzer and Professor Peter Girguis. Travel back through time to learn about the mythical creatures people once believed lived in the sea, try your hand at creating your own sea monster, and investigate the truly amazing adaptations of the actual animals that call deep-sea hydrothermal vents their home.   Tickets are $7 for adults ($5 for students) and include complimentary refreshments.  Advance registration is highly recommended.  Public Program Ticket Policy: Ticketholders are encouraged to arrive 15-20 minutes before a program begins as seating is unassigned and is available on a first-come, first served basis. Unused and unclaimed tickets will be sold 5 minutes before the beginning of a program to individuals who are waiting onsite. We cannot issue refunds to the original ticketholders. If one person purchases tickets for a group, that person should provide the names of all individuals in his/her group. Those individuals may then pick up their tickets and enter upon arrival, space permitting. Advance ticket purchase is strongly recommended for programs to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate in our interactive, collaborative formats. Space is typically limited to 50-80 participants, depending on the program format.
