¡Viva Cesar, Viva Kennedy! is a unique evening of theater coming soon to the The Kennedy Center's Eisenhower Theater in Washington, D.C. It is a powerful story about the fight for civil rights and social justice, centered on the work of Cesar Chavez and John F. Kennedy. It combines spoken word, drama, music, visual projections of historic photographs and a panel discussion. Highlighting the evening will be performances from acclaimed Latin American musical artists. Since she began her solo career in 1982, vocalist Eugenia León has become a Mexican cultural icon and an international sensation. Also performing will be La Santa Cecilia. This L.A.-based Mexican-American rock band, lead by Marisol "La Marisoul" Hernandez, were the 2014 winners of the Grammy Award for Best Latin Rock recording.
